About the vinyl material we use
We make our boat name stickers from Premium grade marine safe vinyl which is manufactured in the EU. As boaters ourselves, we want our decals to last. If its cheaper elsewhere, then its probably for a reason.
Using the Lettering Designer
Step 1 - Enter your text
Step 2, choose your letter height (See the Vinyl Letter & Height Guide). If you choose a white boat name the preview will not show up, so underneath the letter height drop down at the top right is a "Background Colour" selector with 5 colours. These are for illustration only and do not affect the colour of the graphics supplied. Imagine it being like previewing your design on the colour of your hull.
Step 3, choose your font, browse throught the various font categories by selecting the different tabs.
Step 4 - is where you choose your name colour, shadows and outlines. You can also choose a combinations of shadow, outline or both. To move the shadow position, use the 8 position box on the right hand side. You can select various arch shapes, wave, bulge top and other special effects.

Custom Designs or your own artwork
If you need help with a more complicated or custom design or a custom font then please get in touch. If you have an EPS, PDF or other vector file then we may be able to use this. We can also pre-layout and space your decals on two lines (subject to approval)

Q&A
Wave top / Wave bottom
If you are ordering these effects to fit on each side of the boat, then you would order one wave top and one wave bottom, so the lettering starts and ends at the same point

Can I have a boat name made to a specific size not listed on the site?
Yes (subject to technical limitations) CONTACT US with the details and sizes that you would like.
What surfaces will they stick to?
Our standard vinyl lettering will adhere to most vehicles, steel and fibreglass and painted/varnished wood. If you have a surface that you are unsure our graphics will stick to, then please, contact us first. The vinyl will not stick to Hypalon, you will need Hypalon lettering or a patch for this.
If I order two boat names, do you reverse one for the opposite side?
We get asked this a lot, you don't reverse text, unless you are able to read backwards! Only the effect if you order say a Wave-Top effect, or shapes and flourishes.
Do 2 colour graphics (shadowed) come in two layers? I've heard they can be hard to fit?
Unlike most companies, we pre-layer our graphics so you do not have to struggle to align two or more layers.
I have just painted my Boat - how long before I can fit them?
We recommend waiting a minimum of 30 days for the paint to cure fully prior to installing vinyl graphics.
How long will my boat name last?
Our Vinyl Boat Lettering / Cut vinyl graphics are supplied in Premium Grade 7-10 Year grade vinyl. We do not use Monomeric or other Low-Grade vinyls. There are many factors that affect the lifespan such as UV exposure and the quality of the installation, and even the colour chosen. Cleaning the area of all wax and contaminents prior to fitting is crucial. This is not a guarantee of actual lifespan which will vary. Material data sheets are available upon request.
Do I get instructions on how to fit my vinyl boat name?
We send out instructions with all of our products, if you are missing yours, drop us an email
How long does it take to get my graphics?
We despatch orders on average, within 2-5 working days, but this may extend during busy periods. Please bear in mind you will need to add 'postage' time onto this. If your order is urgent, let us know and we will try to help.
